Zanne Devine is a feature film producer who has worked with many of the most successful and prominent film production companies and filmmakers. Ms. Devine most recently executive produced the Emmy Award nominated CINEMA VERITE (Diane Lane, Tim Robbins, James Gandolfini) for HBO Films. In 2010 she produced the box office success, award-winning EASY A (Emma Stone, Stanley Tucci, Patricia Clarkson) for Sony/Screen Gems. In 2010, Ms. Devine created Pacific Northwest Pictures, a Vancouver-based production and distribution company. In addition to her producing activities, Ms. Devine is currently serving as a consultant and strategic adviser for Miramax, assessing their extensive library of development projects. Previously, Ms. Devine was President of Production at Beacon Pictures. During her tenure, Ms. Devine executive produced Walt Disney/Touchstone Pictures’ films THE GUARDIAN (Kevin Costner, Ashton Kutcher) and A LOT LIKE LOVE (Ashton Kutcher, Amanda Peet). She was also Executive Producer on BRING IT ON: ALL OR NOTHING (Hayden Panettiere) for Universal Home Entertainment and Scott Z. Burns’s award-winning directorial debut, PU-239 (Paddy Considine, Radha Mitchell), for HBO Films. Prior to joining Beacon, Ms. Devine served as Executive Producer on HOUSE OF D (Robin Williams, Tea Leoni), David Duchovny’s directorial debut. Ms. Devine was also President of The Kennedy/Marshall Company, where she worked on a slate of projects, including Roald Dahl’s classic THE BFG and F. Scott Fitzgerald’s THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON. Prior to Kennedy/Marshall, Ms. Devine was Senior Vice President of PolyGram Filmed Entertainment, where she was the senior creative executive, responsible for managing the entertainment group of companies that included Working Title, Propaganda Films, Interscope Productions, Jodie Foster’s Egg Pictures, and Norman Lear’s Act 3 Productions. From 1990 through 1995, Ms. Devine served in various positions at Universal Pictures, lastly as Vice President of Production and Acquisitions. In addition to supervising worldwide acquisitions on behalf of Universal, she oversaw Gramercy Pictures, during which time the company released such films as THE USUAL SUSPECTS, PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT, and the Academy Award-winning films ELIZABETH and FARGO. Ms. Devine began her career as an independent producer with the Golden Globe-winning and Academy Award-nominated feature film, ANNA, starring Sally Kirkland. Ms. Devine was born and raised in Toronto, Canada and is currently developing a number of Canadian projects, including (currently in pre-production) GRIZZLIES, written by Graham Yost, and SISTERS AND BROTHERS, directed by Carl Bessai.
