TREVA WURMFELD has been working in documentary films and non-fiction television programming since 2005. Treva is currently directing a documentary about playwright SAM SHEPARD, produced by Amy Hobby and edited by Sandra Adair at Detour Film Production. Prior to the Shepard doc, Treva produced for the Emmy Award winning A&E series INTERVENTION - she produced the premiere for Season 12 as well as other episodes in Season 11. Other credits include, TEXAS HEART - a feature doc following two heart surgeons inventing a new pulse-less artificial heart (selected for the IFP doc lab in 2009), and OYSTER, a short film Treva wrote, produced, and directed which screened in festivals in 2008. Treva began her career as a visual effects assistant on Doug Liman's "Mr. & Mrs Smith" - and later went on to do the EPK for Liman's "Jumper" and "Fair Game". She received her MFA in Video Art from Hunter College (NYC) in 2006. She currently splits her time between LA and Austin.
