Professor Matthew Edwards is a specialist in musical theatre and pop/rock voice. Former students on and off-Broadway, national tours, and in rock bands performing throughout the U.S. Articles for New York Singing Teachers Association and American Music Teacher. Past presentations at Voice Foundation Annual Symposium, MTEA, Virginia NATS, Indiana University, Illinois Wesleyan University, and many others. Originally trained classically with performances in over 30 operatic roles, Professor Edwards chooses to teach pop/rock singers functionally drawing from new discoveries in voice science and paying special attention to the power of amplification and studio recording techniques.
