Cariwyl Hebert is the founder and curator of Salon97, a San Francisco-based non-profit that makes classical music approachable to the uninitiated. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classical Music from San Francisco State University and has performed as a classical violinist for nearly two decades. Cariwyl formerly worked as a fundraiser for the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and prior, organized events for the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. In 2009, she earned a certificate in Integrated Marketing from San Francisco State University. In addition to her work with Salon97, Cariwyl is a consultant with Susby Internet Strategy, a web, search and social media marketing firm.
