"The Contest" is an observational documentary made during the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition Preliminaries in 2010, depicting the world of the contestants' inner deliberations and emotions. The documentary also questions the point of competition in art, which tends to be judged in the same category as sport, and at the same time is deprived of its main features, such as intimacy, independence and individuality.
