John Evans has had a busy year: He landed two songs in Country Strong which starred Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw, one song "Christmas In Texas" in the final episode of Friday Night Lights, two co-writes on Hayes Carll's new album including the title track, made an appearance on Jay Leno with Hayes, toured Canada twice including western Canada with Corb Lund in the ice and snow, released and starred in the independent movie Honky Tonk Blood and then returned to Canada to produce Corb Lund's upcoming album to be released in 2012. What's more, Evans played over 200 live shows and cut a new album to be released in 2012.
