When Garage-Rockers Harlem went on hiatus, Curtis James O'Mara's creative appitite did not relent. What else is an artist to do? He started Grape St., gathering a slew of friends from the Austin music scene to round out his Windows 95 style band. You're not going to hear Curtis doing renditions of Harlem; instead he's forged ahead with a sound that combines elements of Garage-Rock with infectious bar-room stompers. Guitars are twanging, drums are pounding, and gang vocals are abundant.
After a limited cassette release on Burger Records, Grape St. is poised to relase A Date with You LP on March 5th courtsey of Austin Town Hall Records.
